Educational Psychologist

I am an Educational Psychologist with 10 years of experience in education and a strong teaching background, providing insight into classroom expectations and learning environments. I have extensive experience working with learners, teachers, and parents.

I currently serve on the School-Based Support Team (SBST) at a school in Randburg, collaborating with teachers to support learners requiring additional assistance. My role includes psycho-educational assessments, classroom accommodations, behaviour management, and Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).

My practice is trauma-informed and committed to fostering inclusive educational environments that support learners’ academic and emotional development.

Services include:

Psycho-educational assessments, therapy and counselling, school readiness assessments, study skills (individual and group), subject choice assessments, career assessments, and career counselling.

Areas of interest:

School-related challenges, trauma and PTSD, and learning disabilities.

Therapeutic approaches:

My practice is trauma-informed and informed by training in play therapy using play-based approaches, alongside CBT, integrative, narrative, person-centred, psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, solution-focused brief (SFBT), Teddy Bear Therapy (TBT), and trauma-focused therapies.
